5 Months

Have my sunscreen on and ready to hike with my mom. This is an exciting month for me because I can now have rice cereal. My hand and eye coordination is getting better and I am able to see more things. I sleep less during the day. I am growing fast.

Here is what I have been learning lately.

I'm learning sign language and really love the video that my Grandma checks out at the library. Everytime my mommy signs "milk" I get anxious.
I'm hoping to get this set. It's on my wish list.

Teaching American Sign Language (ASL) signs to infants (and toddlers between the ages of 6 months to 36 months) facilitates communication between parent/child and/or caregiver and child.

When babies learn sign language, this skill provides him or her with a powerful educational tool of earlier communication. Frustration and outbursts are lessened, because baby can immediately communicate his wants/needs until he can physically pronounce it. Learning sign language does not delay speech, but in fact aids speech development. Most baby signers speak earlier than babies who do not learn baby sign language

Also one of my favorite cartoons is Dora the Explorer. My grandpa speaks to me in Spanish and dora speaks in Spanish too.
